Legal Services Board discussion event – 29 November 2021

10/11/2021 | Uncategorised

The Legal Services Board is hosting an online event to hear from people across the legal service professions in the East of England about the challenges and opportunities ahead and how we can collaborate to make a positive difference for consumers and society.

Earlier this year, the Legal Services Board launched Reshaping legal services – a consumer-focused strategy for the sector to deliver fairer outcomes, better services and stronger confidence. We’re keen to share our thinking on some of our key policy areas, like ongoing competence for legal services professionals, ensuring consumers are empowered to understand and access legal services and mapping the unregulated sector.

We know Covid-19 has had a profound impact on the provision of legal services, with consumer demand soaring in some areas and falling in others, while organisations that consumers rely on for legal advice are facing new challenges to their ability to continue to provide these services.

We’re inviting practitioners, academics, students, and legal and advice centres based in the East of England to share their experiences and thoughts on how we can all work together to achieve our shared aims.

We invite you to join our online discussion on:

Date and time: Monday 29 November, 3.30pm – 5.00pm
